The 6G-RIC strives for a close exchange with industry to better understand 6G trends in industry and standardization. To this end, a 6G-RIC Advisory Board has been established with more than 50 leading companies from the telecommunications and vertical industries.

The close exchange takes place within the framework of interactive 6G-RIC Advisory Board Meetings and 6G-RIC Industry Workshops.  After the successful first 6G-RIC Advisory Board Meeting in October 2022, where mainly the 6G-RIC visions and research work were presented, the first 6G-RIC Industrial Workshop took place on March 3 in Hildesheim at Bosch, where our industry partners presented their 6G visions and roadmaps.

The focus was on topics such as sub-terahertz communication, intelligent reconfigurable surfaces, integrated communication and sensing, and standardization. The presentations and most importantly the numerous discussions with the approximately 50 participants helped to foster a common understanding of the important 6G research topics and challenges.
