The past days @ Berlin 6G Conference run by the 6Gplatform were a fantastic success. The experts of the future wireless systems beyond the 5G and 6G scene met in Berlin for scientific exchange with the mission of accelerating the Digital Transformation through Smart Communications.
Prof. Slawomir Stanczak coordinates the 6G Research and Innovation Cluster (6G-RIC), a project that brings together 20 research institutions and universities from around Germany to lay the scientific and technical foundations for 6G. We appreciate the support of the Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung (BMBF) for funding the project until 2025.
We are grateful for the valuable contributions of our 6G-RIC experts during the conference by: Moritz Garkisch & Ehsan Tohidi, Robert Stöcker & Prof. Wilhelm Keusgen, Dr. Johannes Dommel, Geordie George, Dr. Zoran Utkovski & Andrea Munari, Fabio Molinari & Prof. Slawomir Stanczak, Milos Krstic, Thomas Kürner, Hannes Bartz, Gerhard Wunder, Vincent Ulitzsch, Matthias Frey, Mihail Balanici, Guillermo von Hünefeld, Dr. Kai Habel, Corrado Carta & Lorenzo Miretti as well as Friedel Gerfers.
Pushing the envelope for the future sub-THz wireless communications system for 6G and beyond, at our booth, we proudly showed live demos on:
- D-Band Mobile Downlink with Integrated Beamforming Transceiver
- Direction-Resolved Terahertz Channel Sounding in D-Band
- Predictive QoS for Industrial Multi-connectivity
- Heterointegration Slides Showing FBH Chiplets Mounted on IHP Silicon
- RRAM Technology for Efficient Systems
Kudos to Dr. Ramez Askar, Elena Kempf-Loeck, Mathis Schmieder, Sven Wittig, Alper Schultze, Niclas Kullig, Dr. Michael Peter, Matthias Mehlhose & Karthik Krishnegowda, who presented the cutting-edge technologies and smoothly ran the demos at the 6G-RIC Booth.
At the heart of 6G-RIC is research and innovation towards enabling open and secure 6G technologies, and we look forward to continued collaboration in this ambitious endeavour with our partners: Technische Universität Berlin, Technische Universität Braunschweig, Technische Universität Chemnitz, TU Regensburg, Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel, Universität Passau, Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen, RWTH Aachen University, Freie Universität Berlin, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg, Max Planck Institute, Fraunhofer FOKUS, Fraunhofer IAF, Fraunhofer IIS, Fraunhofer IZM, Deutsches Zentrum für Luft-und Raumfahrt e.V., Ferdinand-Braun-Institut, Leibniz-Institut für Höchstfrequenztechnik, IHP, and Universität Regensburg.
Follow us on our journey towards sustainable and secure 6G technologies, and meet us again during @European Microwave Week.
